From Non-Coder to Tech Founder: How I Built Seafood Babu's AI-Powered E-Commerce Platform in 72 Hours

Three days. No sleep, and no traditional programming experience to speak of. Just obsession, endless cups of chai, and a realization that changed everything for me: AI isn't just an assistant anymore — it's your entire engineering team. This is the story of three days and nights in which I, a complete non-coder, built a modern, fully automated e-commerce platform for my business, Seafood Babu.

Delivering fresh seafood in a city like Karachi is no easy game. My vision was clear: I needed a fast, modern e-commerce setup that could handle dynamic weight-based pricing, live pricing updates, and customers automatically. The problem? I'm not a traditional programmer and don't know complex coding. But I had a vision — and a stubborn streak. Somewhere in those three sleepless nights, it hit me: building world-class technology today doesn't require learning JavaScript or Python. What you need is the art of talking to AI.

I didn't settle for some basic drag-and-drop website — I built an enterprise-level setup. For the frontend, I used JavaScript, React, and Next.js, which makes the site lightning-fast. For the backend and database, I used Supabase, and for live hosting, Vercel — all connected through GitHub. Instead of writing code myself, I built a Dual-AI System: one AI became my "Lead Developer," mapping out the entire database and UI structure. Then I connected a second AI directly to GitHub, which took my Lead Developer's plan and turned it into flawless code. I was essentially acting as a project manager, giving direction while AI did all the heavy lifting.

This workflow solved major technical challenges in minutes. I successfully migrated 83 products. Most e-commerce sites run on "size" as the variable — but in the seafood business, everything is priced "per kilo." So I had AI customize that entire pricing logic to fit my needs. On top of that, a dynamic CSS-powered scrolling marquee ticker was set up beautifully to showcase all 83 products.

But the real centerpiece of this whole project — and honestly, my biggest achievement to date — is Babu Bot, built in those same three days. I integrated the Gemini API to create an AI agent that works directly through WhatsApp and speaks in authentic Karachi-style Roman Urdu. Within those three days, I integrated both live text chat and direct voice call features into this WhatsApp AI agent simultaneously. Now any customer can come to our WhatsApp through the website — not just to chat, but to have a live voice call with the AI. And the wildest part? This WhatsApp AI thinks and converses in a completely natural, human-like tone, pulling live prices straight from the database and taking orders in real time.

Those 72 sleepless hours genuinely changed my life. It proved to me that the future of technology belongs to those who know how to talk to AI the right way. This journey turned me from a non-coder into a tech founder.
